A Lac Mégantic Tragedy - The present moment
At the same time as this global pandemic, the people of Mégantic lived under the shock of this harsh ordeal.
I was then a massage therapist and I received people in psychological distress in my office.
I noticed that people were breathing with very short breaths.
I also needed to refuel and feed my mind.
Passionate about yoga since adolescence, for a personal purpose, I decided to do my teacher training without suspecting that one day yoga would be an integral part of my work.
It was then that with an associate, we created YOGA MÉGANTIC so that my community could learn to breathe again.
This event has been on display for 3 consecutive years. We received some big names in yoga and helped to make this discipline of life known in my beautiful little town which is slowly recovering from its injuries.
Today I continue my training and I share the love of yoga and meditation with my community while working at the Women's Center of MRC du Granit.
